Instructor  Paul Harris


Mr Harris, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon-do, joined the TAGB in 1995. He trains under the instruction of Master Mike Dew 8th Degree Black Belt, Vice Chairman of the TAGB.
Mr Harris is a qualified and certified Tae Kwon-do instructor which includes training in Health and Safety and Child Protection. He holds an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and a First Aid Certificate.
Mr Harris is a qualified Tae Kwon-do Competition Official, holding certificates as both an Umpire and Referee.

Mr Harris has been involved in teaching Tae Kwon-do and self defence awareness in schools, as part of the school’s curriculum.

Instructor  Simon Bell


Mr Bell, 2nd degree black belt in TKD, has been training since 1997.
Mr Bell is a qualified competition official holding a qualification as an umpire.
Like Mr Harris all instructors and assistant instructors must hold an enhanced CRB certificate and first aid certificate.

Instructor  John Tate


Mr Tate, 1st degree black belt in TKD, has been training since 2004. He won his first competition taking the Gold in a national competition within his first year of joining North Devon TKD by fighting his was through the rounds at the Welsh Championships held in Cardiff in 2005.

His aspiration for TKD is to see his grandaughters also achieve their Black Belts within the club.

Assistant Instructor  Adam Ford 


Mr Ford, 1st degree black belt in TKD, has been training since the year 2000 and achieved his Black Belt in 2004 after an impressive run of being awarded the highest pass rate of 'A grade' for seven of his colour belt gradings.
His best competition result to date is winning second place in the British TKD Championships.

Mr Ford is a father of two. Several members of his family train alongside him at North Devon TKD.
